Background:
The Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaMKs) comprise a structurally related subfamily of serine/threonine kinases. CaMKIγ (calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase Iγ), also known as VWS1 or CLICKIII, is a 476 amino acid protein that localizes to both the cytoplasm and to the membrane of the Golgi apparatus and contains one protein kinase domain. Expressed predominately in brain and present at lower levels in spleen, liver, kidney and skeletal muscle, CaMKIγ functions as a Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase that uses ATP to catalyze the phosphorylation of target proteins, such as the transcription factpr CREB-1. CaMKIγ exists as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene which maps to human chromosome 1.
Alternative Name:
Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type 1G, CaM kinase I gamma, CaM kinase IG, CaM-KI gamma, CaMKI gamma, CaMKIG, CaMK-like CREB kinase III, CLICK III, CAMK1G, CLICK3, VWS1
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:2000, IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: CAMK1G polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CAMK1G protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human CAMK1G.
MW: ~ 53kDa
Swis Prot.: Q96NX5
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
