Background:
The Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaM kinases) comprise a structurally related subfamily of serine/threonine kinases which include CaMKI, CaMKII and CaMKIV. CaMKII is an ubiquitously expressed serine/threonine protein kinase that is activated by Ca2+ and calmodulin (CaM) and has been implicated in regulation of the cell cycle and transcription. There are four CaMKII isozymes, designated α, β, γ and δ, which may or may not be coexpressed in the same tissue type. CaMKIV is stimulated by Ca2+ and CaM but also requires phosphorylation by a CaMK for full activation.
Alternative Name:
Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type II subunit beta, CaM kinase II subunit beta, CaMK-II subunit beta, CAMK2B, CAM2, CAMK2, CAMKB, Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type II subunit gamma, CaM kinase II subunit gamma, CaMK-II subunit gamma, CAMK2G, CAMK, CAMK-II, CAMKG, Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase type II subunit delta, CaM kinase II subunit delta, CaMK-II subunit delta, CAMK2D, CAMKD
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:1000, IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: CaMKIIβ/γ/δ (S280) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of CaMKIIβ/CaMKIIγ/CaMKIIδ protein.
Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide, corresponding to amino acids 248-299of Human CaMKIIβ.
MW: ~ 50~80 kDa
Swis Prot.: Q13555/Q13554/Q13557
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
