Water, Reverse Osmosis-Deionized

Under conditions of extremely high pressure, pre-filtered deionized water is pushed through a semipermeable reverse osmosis (RO) membrane to filter out approximately 99% of the contaminants in water. The water is then filtered again through a second deionization medium that removes the remaining 2% of trace minerals left within the water. The purity level of the reverse osmosis-deionized (RO-D) water is 12.8 mega-Ohms. This RO-deionized water is suitable for preparing media and other tissue culture applications.
