High Quality & Purity Enzyme manufactured from Recombinant source
Information
Datasheet
Recombinant 2-O-Methyl Transferase from Vaccinia virus is produced in Escherichia coli. It catalyzes the addition of a methyl group at the 2′-O position of the first nucleotide adjacent to the cap structure at the 5′ end of the RNA. The enzyme utilizes SAM as a methyl donor to methylate capped RNA (Cap 0) resulting in a cap-1 structure.
GMP-grade is also available.
Advantages & Features
- Isolated form a recombinant source.
- Extensivelly quality controlled: Endo/Exonucleases/RNAses free.
- Flexible Quality Systems that covers from RUO to cGMP.
Specifications
Protein information:
- Predicted MW: 39 kDa
- Purity: ≥ 95% as determined by SDS-polyacrylamide gels with Coomassie®blue staining.
- Buffer Storage: 100 mM NaCl, 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 1 mM DTT, 0.1 mM EDTA, 50% Glycerol, 0.1 % Triton®X-100.
- Biological activity: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to methylate 10 pmoles of 80 nt long capped RNA transcript in 1 hour at 37°C.
Gene information:
- Synonyms: mRNA (nucleoside-2′-)-methyltransferase; cap1-MTase
- Specie: Bovine Vaccinia virus
- GenBank accession number: AY243312.1
