Background:
This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin andmetalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family aremembrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venomdisintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biologicalprocesses involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. Thisgene is highly expressed in the brain and may function as anintegrin ligand in the brain. Alternative splicing results inseveral transcript variants.
Other Names:
Disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 22, ADAM 22, Metalloproteinase-disintegrin ADAM22-3, Metalloproteinase-like, disintegrin-like, and cysteine-rich protein 2, ADAM22, MDC2
Gene Name: ADAM22
Gene ID: 53616
Primary Accession: Q9P0K1
Other Accession: NP_068369.1;NP_004185.1;NP_057435.2;NP_068367.1;NP_068368.2
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
