Background:
ADCYAP1 is adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide1. Mediated by adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide 1receptors, this polypeptide stimulates adenylate cyclase andsubsequently increases the cAMP level in target cells. Adenylatecyclase activating polypeptide 1 is not only a hypophysiotropichormone, but also functions as a neurotransmitter andneuromodulator. In addition, it plays a role in paracrine andautocrine regulation of certain types of cells. This gene encodesthree different mature peptides, including two isotypes, a shorterform and a longer form.
Other Names:
Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide, PACAP, PACAP-related peptide, PRP-48, Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide 27, PACAP-27, PACAP27, Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide 38, PACAP-38, PACAP38, ADCYAP1
Gene Name: ADCYAP1
Gene ID: 116
Primary Accession: P18509
Other Accession: NP_001093203.1
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
