Background:
AKAP7 is a member of the A-kinase anchoring protein (AKAP) family, a group of functionally related proteins that bind to a regulatory subunit (RII) of cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) and target the enzyme to specific subcellular compartments. AKAPs have a common RII-binding domain, but contain different targeting motifs responsible for directing PKA to distinct intracellular locations.

Other Names:
A-kinase anchor protein 7 isoforms alpha and beta, AKAP-7 isoforms alpha and beta, A-kinase anchor protein 18 kDa, AKAP 18, Protein kinase A-anchoring protein 7 isoforms alpha/beta, PRKA7 isoforms alpha/beta, AKAP7, AKAP15, AKAP18

Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP7750b was selected from the C-term region of human AKAP7. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.

Gene Name: AKAP7

Gene ID: 9465
Primary Accession: O43687
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
