Protein Family: Enzymes, Protein Kinases
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Communication, Cell Growth and Death, Endocrine System, Immune System, Signal Transduction
Alternate Names: RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase; RAC-PK-alpha; Protein kinase B; PKB; C-AKT; AKT1; RAC
Accession No.: P31749, NP_005154
Description:
RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase (AKT1) signals downstream of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) to mediate the effects of various growth factors such as PDGF, EGF, and IGF-I. This antibody may cross-react with AKT1, 2 and 3.
Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.
MW: 2113.2 g/mol
Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200172 is selected from a sequence within the C-term region of human AKT. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
Composition:
C92H133N27O29S1
Purity:
> 80% by HPLC
Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. The product is hygroscopic and must be protected from light. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C.
