Description:
Integrins are transmembrane proteins that mediate interactions between adhesion molecules on adjacent cells and the extracellular matrix (ECM). Integrin alpha-1 (CD49a) is a receptor for laminin and collagen. Integrin alpha-1 recognizes the proline-hydroxylated sequence G-F-P-G-E-R in collagen.
