Description:
Alpha Internexin (Alpha-Inx) is a class-IV neuronal intermediate filament that is able to self-assemble. Alpha-Inx is involved in the morphogenesis of neurons. Alpha-Inx forms an independent structural network without the involvement of other neurofilaments. Levels of alpha-inx protein reach a maximum at embryonic day 16 and decline into adulthood.

Alternate Names: Alpha-internexin, Alpha-Inx, Ina, Inexa

Application Notes: Epitope mapped in the C-term non-helical extension of the protein and resistant to formaldehyde fixation. Works well with cryostat sections and FFPE tissues. E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:2,000; IF: 1:250; IHC: 1:1,000
