Background:
AMPKβ1 is a member of the SNF1 kinase family. It is a heterotrimeric protein comprising of an alpha (catalytic), beta (non-catalytic) and gamma (non-catalytic) subunits, 63, 38 and 38kDa respectively.AMPKβ1 regulates fatty acid and sterol synthesis by phosphorylation of acteyl-coA. It also regulates cholesterol synthesis via phosphorylation and in-activation of hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA reductase. Two isoforms of AMPKβ1 have been found.
Alternative Name:
5'-AMP-activated protein kinase subunit beta-1, AMPK subunit beta-1, AMPKb, PRKAB1, AMPK, AMPK β1
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:1000, IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: p-AMPKβ1 (S181) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of AMPKβ1 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser181
Immunogen:
Synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human AMPKβ1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 181.
MW: ~ 38 kDa
Swis Prot.: Q9Y478
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
