Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Applications: WB, IHC
Protein Family: Transcription factors, Receptors and Channels, Hormones

Description:
AR (Androgen receptor) is a member of the steroid superfamily of ligand-dependent transcription factors. They regulate eukaryotic gene expression and affect cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. AR consists of an amino terminal modulating domain, a central DNA-binding domain, a hinge region and a carboxyl terminal ligand binding domain. Defects in AR are the cause of androgen insensibility syndrome (genital disorders), X-linked spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy (Kennedy disease), metastatic prostate cancer and infertility male syndrome.
Alternate Names: Androgen receptor, Dihydrotestosterone receptor, Nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 4, AR, DHTR, NR3C4
Application Notes: WB: 1:500-1:2000; IHC: 1:200-1:1000
Accession No.: P10275
Antigen: Purified recombinant fragment of human AR expressed in E. coli.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml ascitic fluid with 0.03% sodium azide.
