Description:
Antithrombin III (AT III) is a single chain glycoprotein of molecular mass 58 kDa with four glycosylation sites and three intra-molecular disulfide bonds. AT III is normally present in human plasma at a concentration of approx. 12.5 mg/dl. It is the major inhibitor of thrombin. Inactivation of thrombin by AT-III occurs by formation of a covalent bond resulting in an inactive 1:1 stoichiometric complex between the two components. This antibody is specific for human AT III in native and denatured forms.

Alternate Names: Antithrombin-III, ATIII, SERPINC1, AT3

Application Notes: Product Cat. No. 250392 reacts strongly in ELISA with both native and denatured AT III directly coated onto the microtiter well, or in sandwich ELISA as detection antibody with a polyclonal capture antibody. E: 1:16,000; IHC: 1:100-1:500
