Background:
Annexin IV (ANX4) belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins. Although their functions are still not clearly defined, several members of the annexin family have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. Isolated from human placenta, ANX4 is a protein that has possible interactions with ATP, and has in vitro anticoagulant activity and also inhibits phospholipase A2 activity. ANX4 is almost exclusively expressed in epithelial cells.
Other Names: Annexin A4, 35-beta calcimedin, Annexin IV, Annexin-4, Carbohydrate-binding protein p33/p41, Chromobindin-4, Endonexin I, Lipocortin IV, P325, PP4-X, Placental anticoagulant protein II, PAP-II, Protein II, ANXA4, ANX4
Target/Specificity:
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody AP6599a was selected from the N-term region of human ANXA4. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Type: Synthetic peptide
Primary Accession: P09525
Gene ID: 307
Gene Name: ANXA4
Format: Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
