Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB
Protein Family: Transporters
Pathway and Disease: Endocrine System, Infectious Diseases, Lipid Metabolism
Description:
Apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) is the major protein component of high density lipoprotein (HDL) in plasma, which is correlated with cardiovascular disease. ApoA1 is synthesized in the liver and small intestine and promotes cholesterol efflux from tissues to the liver for excretion. It is a cofactor for lecithin cholesterolacyltransferase (LCAT), the enzyme responsible for the formation of most plasma cholesteryl esters. Defects in ApoA1 are associated with HDL deficiency, Tangier disease, and systemic non-neuropathic amyloidosis.
Alternate Names: Apo-a1, ApoA1, Apolipoprotein A-1, Apolipoprotein A-I, Apo-AI, ApoA-I
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: NP_000030
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human ApoA1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml IgG in PBS pH 7.4 with 0.02% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
