Apramycin is shown to be a potent inhibitor of protein synthesis in bacteria both in vivo and in vitro. Apramycin inhibits the translocation step of protein synthesis both in vivo, in protoplasts of Bacillus megaterium, and in vitro, in cell-free systems from E. coli. It is proposed that this is the primary inhibitory effect of the drug

Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml IgG (7-12 mg/ml) in 20mM phosphate, 150mM NaCl buffer, pH7.2 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by caprylic acid and ammonium sulfate precipitation.
