Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC, IP
Protein Family: Transcription factors, Receptors and Channels, Hormones
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Transcription
Description:
AR (androgen receptor) is a member of the steroid superfamily of ligand-dependent transcription factors. They regulate eukaryotic gene expression and affect cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. AR consists of an amino terminal modulating domain, a central DNA-binding domain, a hinge region and a carboxyl terminal ligand binding domain. Defects in AR are the cause of androgen insensibility syndrome (genital disorders), X-linked spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy (Kennedy disease), metastatic prostate cancer and infertility male syndrome.
Alternate Names: Androgen receptor, Dihydrotestosterone receptor, Nuclear receptor subfamily 3 group C member 4, AR, DHTR, NR3C4
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: P10275
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human AR.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
