Background:
In yeast, autophagy is an essential process for survival during nutrient starvation and cell differentiation. The process of autophagy is characterized as a non-selective degradation of cytoplasmic proteins into membrane stuctures called autophagosomes, and it is dependent on several proteins, including the autophagy proteins APG5 and APG7. Yeast Apg7 and the human homolog, APG7, share similarities with the ubiquitin-activating enzyme E1 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and are likewise responsible for enzymatically activating the autophagy conjugation system.
Alternative Name:
Ubiquitin-like modifier-activating enzyme ATG7, ATG12-activating enzyme E1 ATG7, Autophagy-related protein 7, APG7-like, hAGP7, Ubiquitin-activating enzyme E1-like protein, ATG7, APG7L
Application Dilution: WB: 1:500~1:2000, IHC: 1:50~1:200
Specificity: ATG7 polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of ATG7 protein.
Immunogen:
Recombinant full length Human ATG7.
MW: ~ 78 kDa
Swis Prot.: O95352
Purification & Purity:
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Format:
1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol.
Storage:
Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
