Protein Family: Chaperones and Folding Catalysts

Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Signal Transduction

Alternate Names: Axin-2; Axis inhibition protein 2; Conductin; Axin-like protein; Axil; AXIN2

Accession No.: Q9Y2T1, NP_004646

Description:
Axin2 is an inhibitor of the Wnt signaling pathway and down-regulates beta-catenin. Defects in Axin2 are the cause of colorectal cancer.

Format:
Each vial contains 0.1 mg of lyophilized peptide. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml deionized water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml. Use at 5.6 ug/ml for a 100X excess over antibody for maximum blocking effect.

MW: 1790 g/mol

Sequence:
The synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 200133 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human AXIN2. For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.

Composition:
C74H128N22O25S2

Purity:
> 80% by HPLC

Solubility:
Distilled water for a solution up to 2 mg/ml, otherwise we recommend using acetonitrile.
