Size: 0.1 ml
Isotype: Mouse IgG2b
Applications: WB, IF, FC
Protein Family: Cytoskeleton Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Cell Communication, Cell Motility, Immune System, Infectious Diseases
Description:
Actins are highly conserved proteins involved in cell motility that are ubiquitously expressed in eukaryotic cells. There are 3 main actin isoforms in vertebrates: alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha actins are found in muscles and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins coexist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton and mediators of internal cell motility. Defects in beta-actin are a cause of juvenile-onset dystonia, a movement disorder with a neurological basis.
Alternate Names: Actin, cytoplasmic 1, Beta-actin, ACTB
Application Notes: WB: 1:500-1:2000; IF: 1:200-1:1000; FC: 1:200-1:400
Accession No.: P60709
Antigen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino-terminal residues of human beta-Actin, conjugated to KLH.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml ascitic fluid with 0.03% sodium azide.
Storage:
Store at 4°C for short term use only. Store at -20°C for storage over 1 month. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
