A BALB/c mice were immunized with biotinylated sheep immunoglobulin while NHS-biotin was used as a biotinylation agent.

Specifications:
Hyb-8 recognizes free biotin and biotinylated proteins (HS biotin, NHS amidocaproylbiotin). The length of the spacer does not affect mAb binding. The antibody also react with biotinylated DNA probes.

Species reactivity:
Positive: species restrictions not known.

Applications:
Due to its high affinity the antibody is applicable for ELISA assays, immunoblotting, detection of biotinylated molecules on both frozen and paraffin sections, immunoprecipitation of biotinylated molecules with low background. These Applications have all been tested extensively.
