RealCycler products allow the quantification of pathogens when they are used in combination with the corresponding calibrator kit.
Calibrator kits allow to obtain a calibration curve which is used as reference to quantify the pathogen. This curve is calculated only once, and can be used to quantify subsequent work series.
Calibrator kits consist of various quantified dilutions of a microorganism. They have to be processed exactly as the clinical samples, using the same DNA / RNA extraction system, the same working volumes and the same version of the corresponding RealCycler product.
Calibrator kits can be used in compatible real-time PCR instruments (consult compatibility) and regardless of the extraction method. Optionally, an in-house calibrator can be used to quantify clinical samples using RealCycler products.
The software Visor RealCycler v2 allows automatic and simultaneous quantification of all the pathogens present in the sample.
RealCycler HCVQ system includes vials containing HCV standards with serial concentrations expressed in copy per μL units (copies/μL), which concentrations vary from 1000 copies/μL to 1 copy/μL.
The 4 quantification standards are ready to use without adding or rebuilding any component.
