Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC, IF
Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC, IF
Protein Family: Peptidases, Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Signal Transduction, Cell Growth and Death, Immune System, Cancers, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Infectious Diseases
Description:
Caspase-3 is involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. At the onset of apoptosis, Caspase-3 proteolytically cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) at a 216-Asp-|-Gly-217 bond as well as cleaving and activating the sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs) between the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper domain and the membrane attachment domain. In addition Caspase-3 cleaves and activates caspase-6, -7, -9.
Alternate Names: Caspase-3, CASP-3, Apopain, Cysteine protease CPP32, CPP-32, Yana protein, SREBP cleavage activity 1, SCA-1, CASP3, CPP32
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500; IF: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P42574
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human Caspase-3.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
