Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Cellular Antigens, Peptidases
Pathway and Disease: Endocrine System
Description:
Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is important for blood pressure homeostasis through generation of the vasoconstrictor angiotensin II and inactivation of the vasodilatator bradykinin. ACE is a carboxyl-terminal dipeptidyl exopeptidase which converts angiotensin I to the potent vasopressive hormone angiotensin II. There are two isoforms of ACE, the pulmonary ACEP and the testicular ACET. ACEP is a 140 kDa glycoprotein widely expressed in vascular endothelial cells. ACET is a 100 kDa protein expressed exclusively in adult testis by developing sperm cells.
Alternate Names: Angiotensin-converting enzyme, dipeptidyl carboxypeptidase I, kininase II, CD143 antigen, ACE, DCP, DCP1
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: P12821
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human ACE.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
