Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Enzymes, Protein Kinases, Receptors and Channels, Cellular Antigens
Pathway and Disease: Immune System
Description:
The TEK receptor tyrosine kinase (TIE2) is expressed almost exclusively in endothelial cells in mice, rats, and humans. The TIE2 receptor possesses a unique extracellular domain containing 2 immunoglobulin-like loops separated by 3 epidermal growth factor-like repeats that are connected to 3 fibronectin type III-like repeats. The ligand for TIE2 is angiopoietin-1. The TIE2 signaling pathway appears to be critical for endothelial cell-smooth muscle cell communication in venous morphogenesis. Defects in TIE2 are associated with inherited venous malformations.
Alternate Names: CD202b, Tie-2, Porcine tyrosine kinase with immunoglobulin-like and EGF-like domains 2, Protein-tyrosine kinase Tie2, Angiopoietin-1 receptor, Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor TIE-2, Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor TEK, Tunica interna endothelial cell kinase, p140 TEK, TIE2
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q02763
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human TIE2.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
