Catalog Nr.: 250722
Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Cellular Antigens, Enzymes, Protein Kinases, Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Cell Communication, Endocrine System, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Metabolic Disorders, Signaling Molecules and Interactions
Description:
INSR binds insulin and has a tyrosine protein kinase activity. The short isoform has a higher affinity for insulin. The receptor mediates the metabolic functions of insulin. The receptor binding to insulin stimulates association of the receptor with downstream mediators including IRS1 and phosphatidylinositol 3'-kinase (PI3K). Defects in INSR are the cause of insulin resistance. This antibody is against the alpha subunit.
Alternate Names: Insulin receptor, Insulin receptor subunit alpha, CD220 antigen, IR, INSR
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: P06213
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human INSR-alpha.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
