Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC, IF, FC
Protein Family: Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Cell Growth and Death, Development and Behavior, Nervous and Sensory Systems, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
NGFR (p75NTR or low affinity neurotrophin receptor) binds neurotrophins including NGF, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) and NT-4. Nerve growth factor (NGF) is important for the development , differentation, and survival of a variety of neuronal and non-neuronal cells. NGF action is mediated by binding to two distinct receptors, the high affinity p140 and low affinity p75 NTR (NGFR). NGFR, a TNF-R superfamily member, is reported to mediate NGF-induced apoptosis.
Alternate Names: Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 16, Low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor, NGF receptor, Gp80-LNGFR, p75 ICD, Low affinity neurotrophin receptor p75NTR, CD271, NGFR, TNFRSF16
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500; IF: 1:100-1:500; FC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P08138
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human NGFR.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 0.1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
