Description:
The leptin receptor (LEP-R, CD295) is the receptor for leptin (obesity factor). The binding of leptin mediates signaling through JAK2/STAT3 pathway resulting in the regulation of fat metabolism and, in hematopoietic cells, lymphopoiesis. LEP-R forms a homodimer upon leptin binding, and the phosphorylated receptor binds a number of SH2 domain-containing proteins such as STAT3, PTPN11, and SOCS3.

Alternate Names: Leptin receptor, LEP-R, OB receptor, OB-R, HuB219, CD295, LEPR, DB, OBR

Application Notes: E: 1:10,000-1:50,000; WB: 1:200-1:1,000

Accession No.: P48357
