Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Cell Adhesion Molecules, Cellular Antigens
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Growth and Death
Description:
EpCAM (Epithelial cell adhesion molecule) is a cell surface glycoprotein that promotes interaction between intestinal epithelial cells and intraepithelial lymphocytes at the mucosal epithelium as a defense mechanism against mucosal infection. EpCAM is also involved in embryonic stem cells proliferation and differentiation. EpCAM has also been designated as TACSTD1 (tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 1) and CD326 (cluster of differentiation 326). EpCAM is a pan-epithelial differentiation antigen that is expressed on almost all carcinomas.
Alternate Names: CD326, Ep-CAM, Epithelial cell adhesion molecule, Tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 1, Major gastrointestinal tumor-associated protein GA733-2, Epthelial cell surface antigen, Epthelial glycoprotein, EGP, Epithelial glycoprotein 314, EGP314, hEGP314, Adenocarcinoma-associated antigen, KSA, KS 1/4 antigen, Cell surface glycoprotein Trop-1, EPCAM, GA733-2, M1S2, M4S1, MIC18, TACSTD1, TROP1
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P16422
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human EpCam.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 0.1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
