Description:
FGFR4 (Fibroblast growth factor receptor 4) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family, which shares highly conserved amino acid sequences but differs by ligand affinity and tissue distribution. FGFR4 is a receptor for acidic fibroblast growth factor but does not bind to basic fibroblast growth factor. FGFR$ is overexpressed in gynecological tumor samples, suggesting a role in breast and ovarian tumorigenesis.
