Protein Family: Transporters, Cellular Antigens, Cell Adhesion Molecules
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Immune System, Endocrine System, Infectious Diseases
Description:
Leukocyte differentiation antigen CD36 (platelet glycoprotein IV, GPIV) binds to collagen, thrombospondin, anionic phospholipids and oxidized LDL. CD36 functions as a cell adhesion molecule, and directly mediates cytoadherence of Plasmodium falciparum parasitized erythrocytes. CD36 binds long chain fatty acids and functions in their transport. Genetic variations in CD36 are associated with susceptibility to coronary heart disease type 7 (CHDS7).
Alternate Names: Platelet glycoprotein 4, Fatty acid translocase, FAT, Glycoprotein IIIb, GPIIIB, Leukocyte differentiation antigen CD36, PAS IV, PAS-4, Platelet collagen receptor, Platelet glycoprotein IV, GPIV, Thrombospondin receptor, CD36
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P16671
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human CD36.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
