Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Cellular Antigens, Cell Adhesion Molecules
Pathway and Disease: Immune System
Description:
The CD8 antigen is expressed on human cytotoxic/suppressor T-cells, human NK cell subset, and a cortical thymocyte subset. CD8 is a co-receptor molecule binding to MHC class I. The functional co-receptor is either a homodimer of alpha chains or a heterodimer of alpha and beta chains. The antibody can be used for detecting CD8 alpha in ELISA, western blot and immunohistocytology with paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
Alternate Names: T-cell surface glycoprotein CD8 alpha chain, T-cell surface glycoprotein Lyt-2, CD8a antigen, CD8a, Lyt-2, Lyt2
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:50-1:500
Accession No.: P01731
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of mouse CD8 protein.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
