Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Enzymes, Protein Kinases
Pathway and Disease: Development and Behavior, Neurodegenerative Disorders
Description:
Cyclin-dependent kinase 7 (Cdk7) is the catalytic subunit of the CDK-activating kinase (CAK) complex, a serine-threonine kinase. Cdk7 activates the cyclin-associated kinases CDK1, CDK2, CDK4 and CDK6 by threonine phosphorylation. Cdk7 complexed to the core-TFIIH basal transcription factor activates RNA polymerase II by serine phosphorylation of the repetitive C-terminus domain (CTD) of its large subunit (POLR2A), allowing its escape from the promoter and elongation of the transcripts.
Alternate Names: CDK7, Cyclin-dependent kinase 7, Cell division protein kinase 7, CDK-activating kinase, CAK, CAK1, TFIIH basal transcription factor complex kinase subunit, 39 kDa protein kinase, P39 Mo15, STK1, MO15
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500; IP: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P50613
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human protein CDK7.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
