Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Chaperones and Folding Catalysts, Cytoskeleton Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Cell Growth and Death
Description:
Casein kinase 2-interacting protein 1 (CKIP-1) plays a role in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton through its interactions with actin capping protein (CP). CKIP-1 targets CK2 to the plasma membrane thereby serving as an adapter to facilitate the phosphorylation of CP by protein kinase 2 (CK2). CKIP-1 inhibits tumor cell growth by inhibiting AKT-mediated cell-survival. CKIP-1 is involved in PI3K-regulated muscle differentiation, the regulation of AP-1 activity and the promotion of apoptosis induced by tumor necrosis factor TNF.
Alternate Names: CKIP-1, Casein kinase 2-interacting protein 1, Pleckstrin homology domain-containing family O member 1, PH domain-containing family O member 1, CK2-interacting protein 1, C-Jun-binding protein, JBP, Osteoclast maturation-associated gene 120 protein, PLEKHO1, CKIP1
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q53GL0
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human CKIP-1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 0.1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
