The CREB1 Break Apart Probe detects rearrangements of the gene.
This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. The translocation t(2;22)(q33;q12) generates a EWSR1/CREB1 fusion gene that is commonly found in angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma tumors.
Empire Genomics has developed a CREB1 Break Apart FISH Probe that can be used to detect CREB1 gene rearrangements. The probe comes labeled in red and green, and you may also choose to customize the probe to meet your needs.
