Description:
The circumsporozoite protein (CSP) is the immunodominant surface antigen on the Plasmodium yoelii sporozoite, which is the infective stage of the malaria parasite that is transmitted from the mosquito to the vertebrate host. The C-terminal region is probably used for anchoring the protein to the cell membrane and the repeat sequences form the surface antigen.
