CSF1R Break Apart Probe
The CSF1R gene, located on chromosome 5q33.1, promotes cancer cell proliferation, and invasion and formation of metastases. Mutations involving a partial deletion of chromosome 5 are the leading cause of myelodysplastic syndrome; and the frequent t(3;5)(p21;q33) translocation is associated with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia. CSF1R point mutations are also associated with myelodysplastic syndrome, as well as acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and hepatocellular carcinoma, mostly involving hematopoietic / lymphoid tissue and liver. Other cancers associated with CSF1R overexpression include breast, ovarian, prostate, and endometrial cancers, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and germ cell tumors (GCT).
Our CSF1R Break Apart FISH Probe can be used to detect a rearrangement of the CSF1R gene. The probe comes labeled in orange and green, and you may also choose to customize the probe to meet your needs.
