Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC, IP
Protein Family: Transporters
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Cell Growth and Death
Description:
Cytochrome C (Cyt C) is a well characterized mobile electron transport protein essential to energy conversion in all aerobic organisms. In mammalian cells, this highly conserved protein is normally localized to the mitochondrial intermembrane space. More recent studies have identified cytosolic Cyt C as a factor necessary for activation of apoptosis. Cyt C is translocated from the mitochondrial membrane to the cytosol where it is required for the activation of caspase-3 (CPP32). Cyt C associates with cytochrome C1 and Rieske protein to form complex III (cytochrome b-c1 complex) which is involved in cellular respiration.
Alternate Names: Cytochrome c, CYCS, CYC
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: P99999
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human Cyt C.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
