Size: 0.1 ml
Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Cytoskeleton Proteins
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Cell Communication
Description:
Cytokeratins are proteins of keratin-containing intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. Cytokeratins form a complex network extending from the nucleus to the cell membrane. This network is involved in cellular communication and cytoplasmic organization. Defects in cytokeratin-5 are implicated in numerous skin diseases, including epidermolysis bullosa simplex Dowling-Meara type and Dowling-Degos disease.
Alternate Names: CK-5, Cytokeratin-5, Keratin, type II cytoskeletal 5, Keratin-5, K5, 58 kDa cytokeratin, KRT5
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000; WB: 1:500-1:2000; IHC: 1:200-1:1000
Accession No.: P13647
Antigen: Purified recombinant fragment of CK5 expressed in E. coli.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml ascitic fluid with 0.03% sodium azide.
