Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Immune System
Description:
HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DRB1-5 beta chain (DR-5) is a heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit; also referred as MHC class II molecule. DR-5 binds peptides derived from antigens that access the endocytic route of antigen presenting cells (APC) and presents them on the cell surface for recognition by the CD4 T-cells. The peptide binding cleft accommodates peptides of 10-30 residues. The peptides presented by MHC class II molecules are generated mostly by degradation of proteins that access the endocytic route; where they are processed by lysosomal proteases and other hydrolases.
Alternate Names: HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DRB1-11 beta chain, MHC class II antigen DRB1*11, DRw11, DR-5, DR5, HLA-DRB1
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000-1:40,000; WB: 1:100-1:1,000
Accession No.: P20039
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center egion of human DR-5.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 0.2% BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen-affinity chromatography.
