The DUSP22 gene, located on chromosome 6p25, functions in the activation of the JNK signaling pathway. DUSP22 is associated with ALK-negative anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) (systematic or cutaneous). The t(6;7)(p25.3;q32.3) is seen in about 10% of ALK-negative ALCL. Rearrangements of 6p25.3 not involving 7q32.3 have also been reported.
