Size: 0.1 ml
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB
Protein Family: Transcription Factors
Pathway and Disease: Signal Transduction, Transcription, Cell Communication, Endocrine System, Cancers, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Infectious Diseases
Description:
ETS domain-containing protein Elk-1 (Elk-1) functions as a transcription activator. Elk-1 is classified as a ternary complex factor (TCF), a subclass of the ETS family, which is characterized by a common protein domain that regulates DNA binding to target sequences. Elk-1 plays important roles in various contexts, including long-term memory formation, drug addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome, breast cancer, and depression. Phosphorylation of Elk-1 has also been implicated in synaptic plasticity in the adult hippocampus.
Alternate Names: ETS domain-containing protein Elk-1, ELK-1, ELK1
Application Notes: E: 1:1,000; WB: 1:1,000
Accession No.: P19419
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide encompassing a sequence surrounding Ser383 of human Elk-1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml IgG in HEPES pH7.5, 150 mM NaCl, 0.01% BSA and 50% glycerol. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
