Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Immune System
Alternate Names: C-C motif chemokine 26, CC chemokine IMAC, Eotaxin-3, CCL26, Eotaxin 3, Macrophage inflammatory protein 4-alpha, MIP-4 alpha, TSC-1, small-inducible cytokine A26, thymic stroma chemokine-1, SCYA26Description:
Eotaxin 3 (also CCL26, MIP-4 alpha or TSC-1) is a chemokine that is made by a variety of cells stimulated by IL-4 or IL-13. Eotaxin signals through the GPCR, CCR3, and acts to recruit eosinophils and basophils. Human Eotaxin-3 is produced in E. coli as a non-glycosylated protein, containing 71 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 8.4 kDa.
Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.05ng/ug or <0.5EU/ug.
Applications: E, WB
Application Notes:
The activity can be determined by its ability to induce chemotaxis of cell lines tranfected to express CCR3. There is no data currently available for this product.
Accession No.: Q9Y258
MW: 8400 Da
Sequence:
TRGSDISKTC CFQYSHKPLP WTWVRSYEFT SNSCSQRAVI FTTKRGKKVC THPRKKWVQK YISLLKTPKQ L
Purity:
Purity > 95% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.
Format:
Each vial contains 20 ug of lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.2 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.
Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
