Description:
Epiregulin is a mediator of localized cell proliferation and stimulates cell proliferation and angiogenesis. In normal adults, epiregulin is expressed predominantly in the placenta and peripheral blood leukocytes. High levels of epiregulin have been detected in carcinomas of the bladder, lung, kidney and colon.
