ERBB2/Con17 FISH Probe

The ERBB2/Con17 Break Apart FISH Probe localizes to the ERBB2 gene allowing confirmation of rearrangements of the gene.

Empire Genomics’ dual-colored ERBB2/Con17 FISH probe can be used to detect copy number variants of the ERBB2 (HER2) gene. The increased protein production resulting from copy number variation of ERBB2 has been heavily implicated in breast, lung and colorectal cancer, with the degree of ERBB2 amplification a possible indicator of tumor aggression1,2,3.
