Size: 0.05 mg
Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Applications: E
Protein Family: Hormones
Pathway and Disease: Carbohydrate Metabolism, Endocrine System, Metabolic Disorders, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Exendin-4 is a 39-amino-acid peptide found in venom from the Gila monster Heloderma suspectum. It is a member of the glucagon-secretin family of peptide hormones and neuropeptides. Exendin-4 is a potent agonist of the GLP-1 receptor and hence a potent stimulator of insulin secretion. This antibody is specific for exendin-4 with no cross-reactivity with GLP-1, GLP-2 (human) or glucagon coated on ELISA wells. This antibody can be used in a sandwich ELISA to detect exendin-4.
Alternate Names: Exenatide
Application Notes: Product Cat. No. 251100 is the biotin conjugate of Cat. No. 250224, which binds to exendin-4 when coated in ELISA wells and reacts specifically with exendin-4 in solution giving a Ka of 1.1x10E9 in an inhibition ELISA. The binding between Cat. No. 251100 and exendin-4 is disrupted by 4.5 M MgCl2. Cat. No. 251100 can be used in a sandwich ELISA with Cat. No. 250244 as capture antibody for measuring exendin-4, giving a detection limit of 10-40 pmol/L in an unoptimized buffer assay. E: 1:2,000
Accession No.: P26349
Antigen: Synthetic exendin-4 coupled to carrier and adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide gel
Format: Each vial contains 0.05 mg IgG in 0.05 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A/G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
