The FGFR1 FISH Probe is used to detect FGFR1 gene aneusomy.
FGFR1 gene encodes one member of the FGFR tyrosine kinase (TK) family, which includes four kinases: FGFR1, 2, 3, and 4. FGFR TKs play crucial roles in development and have been shown in cancers to be deregulated by either amplification, point mutation, or translocation. Amplification or activation of FGFR1 has been reported in many cancers including oral squamous cell carcinoma, breast cancer, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, ovarian cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer, predominantly in the squamous subtype.
Empire Genomics has developed a FGFR1 FISH Probe which can be used to detect FGFR1 gene aneusomy. The probe comes labeled in orange, and you may also choose to customize the probe to meet your needs.
