Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Enzymes, Peptidases
Pathway and Disease: Cell Growth and Death, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
FLIP (FLICE-like inhibitory protein) is an apoptosis regulator protein which functions as a crucial link between cell survival and cell death pathways in mammalian cells. FLIP is expressed as both long and short isoforms. The short isoform contains two death effector domains homologous to the death effector domain of the FAS-associating protein FADD. The long form contains an additional caspase-like domain, but lacks a catalytic active site and the residues that form the CLARP, Casper, I-FLICE, FLAME-1 and MRIT. This antibody binds to both isoforms.
Alternate Names: FLIP S/L, Flice-like inhibitory protein, CASP8 and FADD-like apoptosis regulator, Cellular FLICE-like inhibitory protein, c-FLIP, Caspase-8-related protein, Casper, Caspase-like apoptosis regulatory protein, CLARP, MACH-related inducer of toxicity, MRIT, Caspase homolog, CASH, Inhibitor of FLICE, I-FLICE, FADD-like antiapoptotic molecule 1, FLAME-1, CFLAR, Usurpin
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: O15519
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human FLIP.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol, 0.1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A and immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
