Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Carbohydrate Metabolism, Neurodegenerative Disorders
Description:
Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is well known as one of the key emzymes in glycolysis. GAPDH catalyzes an important energy-yielding step in carbohydrate metabolism, the reversible oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate in presence of inorganic phosphate and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). GAPDH is also involved in a number of cellular processes such as membrane fusion, phosphotransferase activity, DNA replication and repair, and nuclear RNA export. GAPDH is constitutively expressed at high level in almost all tissue and cell lines making an ideal positive control marker in immunotechniques. This antibody works best for ELISA and immunohistochemistry.
Alternate Names: Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase, GAPDH, GAPD
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P16858
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of mouse GAPDH.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 0.1 mg/ml BSA, 25% glycerol with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
