Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Transcription
Pathway and Disease: Cancers
Description:
Human cervical cancer oncogene (HCCR-1) is a human oncoprotein, and has shown strong tumorigenic features. Its role in tumorogenesis is from a negative regulation of the p53 tumor suppressor gene. HCCR-1 is located in mitochondrial outer membrane, where its function is to retard intrinsic apoptosis experimentally-induced by UVC and staurosporine. Uncontrolled expression of HCCR-1 causes mitochondrial dysfunction, resulting in the progression of tumor formation. HCCR-1 has also been shown to be a regulatory factor that stimulates morphogenesis of epithelia or mesenchyme during neoplastic transformation.
Alternate Names: HCCR-1, BRI3-binding protein, I3-binding protein, Cervical cancer 1 proto-oncogene-binding protein KG19, BRI3BP
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:200-1:500; IHC: 1:200-1:500
Accession No.: Q8WY22
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human HCCR-1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
